This event is sponsored by Sacramento Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) and the WILPF US Disarm/End Wars Committee:

Carol Urner and Ellen Thomas, co-chairs of the WILPF-US Disarm/End Wars Issue Committee will discuss the many national and international efforts for Nuclear Weapons Abolition. They'll tie international developments to the recent initiative in the U.S.: the Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Economic and Energy Conversion Act (H.R. 1976).
HR 1976 would 'provide for nuclear weapons abolition and economic conversion ... while ensuring environmental restoration and clean-energy conversion.' Go to the link below to ask your Representative(s) to support it!
Carol and Ellen are on a 2016 tour of the U.S., to promote awareness of and support for HR-1976 and other actions to protect us all from nuclear annihilation. They're in Sacramento to meet with WILPF members and others who want to learn more and help activism on nuclear arms and peace issues.
